Home Help Companions conducts an extensive interview process, to ‘vet’ our potential caregivers. This ensures the quality, skills and experience they offer to our clients. We endeavor to make our caregivers part of your family with the opportunity to have the same caregiver partner with your loved one on a weekly base. This helps ensure continuity of care and to develop a working partnership with the caregiver, the client and the family.
Our caregivers communicate daily with the nursing and management team of Home Help Companions electronically to ensure that changes in condition, behavior or progress can be shared with the family in “real time”. With access to this information and we can immediately share suggestions to adjust the care plan for your loved one, to maximize their quality of life in their own home or apartment, therefore extending their independence.
Our services are flexible and can be arranged for as little as twelve hours a week or as many as 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. Our Caregivers can help with a wide range of activities including companionship, meal planning, meal preparation and clean-up, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, errands, shopping, pet care, as well as escorts to and from appointments and events. Home Help Companions Personal Care Attendants and Certified Nursing Assistants can also assist with mobilization and personal care needs.
